An abrupt move from California to Nashville was no surprise to Tori Skene’s
parents the day after she was handed her high school diploma. At the age of five
not many would expect a car-seated toddler swinging her legs, singing the words
to the Beatles “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.” But that in turn was just the underscore of
what was to come. At the age of nine she started singing classically in
competitions and musical theatre shows before attending a performing arts
school. It was then, she wrote her first song and retired her falsetto to sing
her own country and christian songs she fell in love with writing. As high
school progressed; so did her music, as she took weekly trips up to Los Angeles
to song write and produce her songs. She also added various trips to Nashville
in the mix to make connections; while being featured on the Nashville Spotlight
cable show, tween pop, and ladies of country music radio. Tori now lives in
Nashville and plays at various venues while bringing a taste of California
sunshine to Nashville with her music.
